Limitation You cannot use the MM series as an external hard disk when it is powered on or in the system standby/hibernate state. Installing Connection Cradle 2 Program The following shows how to install the connection cradle program to the host computer. 1. Insert the product recovery CD-ROM disk 3 in the CD drive of the host computer. 2. Double-click My Computer , then double-click the CD drive icon. 3. Double-click the SOFTWARE folder, then double-click the MCX 2 folder. The Connection Cradle Setup Wizard starts up. Follow the message on the screen and install the Connection Cradle 2 program. 7 4. Install the program according to the instructions on the screen. Connecting MM Series to Host Computer First Connection The following shows how to connect the MM series to the host computer for the first time using the connection cradle. Do not connect the USB cable until instructed to do so (in Step5 below). 1. Install the Connection Cradle 2 program to the host computer (shown on the previous page). 7-7
