• The remaining operating time depends on the amount of the power you are consuming. If you are using the audio system, PC card slot, hard disk drive, or peripheral devices with your computer, it may consume more battery power. • If the actual remaining power in your battery is less than what Power Meter indicates, you should condition the battery pack as per the procedure on Conditioning Battery Pack section in this chapter. With Battery Level Lamp You can also check the battery level by the battery lamp on the battery pack. Remove the battery pack from your computer and push the battery level button on the battery pack. 3 Battery Level Lamp Battery Level Button Low Battery Indication When the battery power level becomes significantly low, the battery indicator ( ) blinks red, the warning beep sounds. Save your data and turn off your computer, or connect the AC power source immediately. Otherwise, your computer will be shut down and the unsaved data may be lost. Battery Indicator 3-3
