This foot has a groove on the underside which allows dense stitching to pass freely underneath. To change the satin or decorative stitch pattern, you may adjust the length and width of the pattern by pressing the stitch length and width adjustment buttons. Experiment by sewing on fabric scraps first, until you achieve the desired length and width. Please Note: When sewing very light weight fabrics, it is recommended that you use interfacing or stabilizer on the backside of the fabric. 51
