sewing a seam PIN BASTING Pin basting is a time-saver and can be used when you sew easy-to-handle fabric. Use fine pins and place them: . On top of the fabric (never on the -underside in contact with the feed). • At right angles to the stitching line. . Backstitch to the edge of the fabric for reinforcement by pushing in the reverse-stitch push button located in the center of the stitch length dial.
