Setting image processing (Miniature) Creates an image that enhances the subject vividly, with the background defocused considerably. This effect can often be found in pictures of miniature models. You can select the area to be in focus using b/B. The focus on other areas is greatly reduced. • (Off) can be selected if you use (Picture Effect) on the control button. Notes • When the zoom feature of the camera is used, the [Toy Camera] and [Miniature] effects are not available. • When [Partial Color] is selected, images may not retain the selected color, depending on the subject or shooting conditions. • When the exposure mode is set to [Intelligent Auto], [Superior Auto], [Sweep Panorama] or [Tele-zoom Cont. Priority AE], or when [Quality] is set to [RAW] or [RAW & JPEG], [Picture Effect] cannot be used. • When [HDR Painting], [Miniature], [Rich-tone Mono.] or [Soft Focus] is selected, you cannot confirm the effect before shooting. You also cannot set the drive mode. • When the contrast of the scene is low or when significant camera shake or subject blur has occurred with [HDR Painting] or [Rich-tone Mono.] selected, you may not obtain good HDR images. If the camera detects such a situation, is displayed on the recorded image. Shoot again as necessary, recomposing or paying attention to the blur. Creative Style You can select the desired style to be used to perform image processing, and adjust the contrast, saturation, and sharpness for each [Creative Style]. Notes
