Battery pack and power The battery pack cannot be installed. • As you insert the battery pack, use the tip of the battery pack to push the lock lever (page 21). • Only an NP-FM500H battery pack can be used. Make sure that the battery is NP-FM500H. The remaining battery level indicator shows incorrect level or power runs out quickly despite the indicator showing sufficient battery level. Cannot turn on the camera. • This phenomenon occurs when you use the camera in an extremely hot or cold location (page 200). • The battery pack is discharged. Install a charged battery pack (page 19). • The battery pack is dead (page 208). Replace it with a new one. • Install the battery pack correctly (page 21). 189

If you experience trouble with the camera, try the following solutions.
The battery pack cannot be installed.
As you insert the battery pack, use the tip of the battery pack to push the
lock lever (page 21).
Only an NP-FM500H battery pack can be used. Make sure that the battery
is NP-FM500H.
The remaining battery level indicator shows incorrect level or power runs
out quickly despite the indicator showing sufficient battery level. Cannot
turn on the camera.
This phenomenon occurs when you use the camera in an extremely hot or
cold location (page 200).
The battery pack is discharged. Install a charged battery pack (page 19).
The battery pack is dead (page 208). Replace it with a new one.
Install the battery pack correctly (page 21).
