Setup menu Remote Control menu Use this menu to set up remote control settings. The choices indicated in bold are selected by default. ■ TV Favorite You can store up to 8 favorite TV channels and recall them by selecting the corresponding buttons on the virtual remote control. y The keys for the TV Favorite functions are displayed on the virtual remote control when Cable, Satellite/DSS, or DVR is selected as the type of the source device. Select "Fav" and the station name you registered. Channel Number Enter the channel number of your favorite TV stations. You can enter up to 8 characters (numbers and hyphen). Rename Use this menu to change the name of channels on the pop up menu displayed when you select "Fav" on the virtual remote control. (☞ P. 21) ■ Source Power Control Use this menu to turn the Source Power Control function of this unit on or off (standby). The Source Power Control function controls the power of the components to which IR flashers are attached. This function works as follows: • When you select an input source, this unit turns on the corresponding component. • When you set this unit to the standby mode, this unit turns off the connected components. Choice Functions Enable The Source Power Control function is enabled. Disable The Source Power Control function is disabled. Note You need to attach the IR flashers to the components and configure the remote control settings in advance. ■ TV Power Control Use this menu to turn on or off the TV Power Control function of this unit. The TV Power control function controls the power of the TV to which the IR flasher is attached. This function works as follows: • When you turn on this unit, this unit turns on the TV. • When you set this unit to the standby mode, this unit turns off the TV. Follow steps from 2 to 8 of "Step 2: TV Remote Control Setup" (☞ P. 13). ■ TV Remote Code Learning If the remote control code set with the "TV Remote Code" menu does not function correctly, use the learning feature to program the remote control code manually. 1 Select a button to learn. TV POWER Learn the code of the button for switching the TV's power on and off (standby) on the remote control included with the TV to control the TV's power using TV POWER on the remote control included with this unit. There is no need to learn the code here if the code is properly set at "TV Remote Control Setup" in the Initial Setup procedure. TV On If the remote control included with the TV has a button exclusively for turning the TV's power on, learn its code. TV Off If the remote control included with the TV has a button exclusively for turning the TV's power off, learn its code. y When the TV On and TV Off codes are learned, the TV's power can be accurately controlled from this unit. 42 En

Setup menu
Use this menu to set up remote control settings.

TV Favorite
You can store up to 8 favorite TV channels and recall them by
selecting the corresponding buttons on the virtual remote
control.

The keys for the TV Favorite functions are displayed on the

Use this menu to turn the Source Power Control function
of this unit on or off (standby). The Source Power Control

When you select an input source, this unit turns on the

When you set this unit to the standby mode, this unit
turns off the connected components.
You need to attach the IR flashers to the components and

TV Power Control
Use this menu to turn on or off the TV Power Control
function of this unit. The TV Power control function
controls the power of the TV to which the IR flasher is
attached. This function works as follows:
When you turn on this unit, this unit turns on the TV.
When you set this unit to the standby mode, this unit
turns off the TV.
You need to attach the IR flasher to the TV and configure the
remote control setting in advance.
TV Remote Code
Use this menu to change the remote control code of the
connected TV. Follow steps from 2 to 8 of “Step 2: TV
Remote Control Setup” (
P. 13).
TV Remote Code Learning
If the remote control code set with the “TV Remote Code”
menu does not function correctly, use the learning feature
to program the remote control code manually.

Learn the code of the button for switching the TV’s
power on and off (standby) on the remote control
included with the TV to control the TV’s power using
TV POWER
