Random play 1 1 DISC SKIP OPEN/ DISC MODE TIME CLOSE CANCEL S/F REPEAT A-B RANDOM PROG 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 +10 ANGLE RETURN TITLE/INDEX TITLE SELECT AUDIO MENU MULTI SPEED SUBTITLE SET UP SKIP/SEARCH OFF/ON ON SCREEN STOP STILL/PAUSE PLAY 2 STOP ( ) PLAY O CD / CD DISC 1 2 3 4 5 1 PLAYXCHANGE OPEN/CLOSE / SKIP/SEARCH / (PLAY) Advanced operation Titles or tracks of a designated disc or all discs on the disc table are played back in a random order. 1 If necessary, switch the disc play mode (to "DISC 1" or "DISC 5") by pressing DISC MODE confirming it on the front panel display. When "DISC 1" is illuminated: Titles or tracks of the selected disc are played back in a random order. When "DISC 5" is illuminated: Titles and tracks of all discs on the disc table are played back in a random order. * If "DISC 1" is selected, select the desired disc by pressing DISC SKIP or DISC (1-5). 2 Press RANDOM to begin the random play. * The "RDM" indicator lights up. When playback of all the random selections is completed This unit stops and returns to the normal playback mode. To stop random play 1. Press STOP ( ). * This unit memorizes the point where STOP ( ) was pressed (Playback Resumption). Press PLAY, and playback will resume from that point. 2. Press STOP ( ) again. The random play mode is canceled. To cancel the random play mode (and restore the normal play mode) There are several methods as described below. ● Press RANDOM. ● Press STOP ( ) while the random play is stopped with the point to resume playback memorized. ● Press OPEN/CLOSE. ● Perform the title (or track) or time search operation. * When the search is successfully executed, the random play mode will be canceled. Notes ● This feature will not function in the program play mode. ● If a track of a Video CD (ver. 2.0) is selected, the Playback Control mode is canceled. ● Skip search, rapid advance and rapid reverse operations can be performed during random play (or while random play is paused) within the range of the random selections. ● Pressing PLAYXCHANGE will not disturb the random play mode if the disc play mode is in "DISC 1". In "DISC 5" mode, however, pressing PLAYXCHANGE will clear the random selections from discs other than the currently selected disc. If the disc table is closed, the random play continues with the selections from those discs renewed. 37 English
