Edit Operation Settings for Song Recording and Playback [SONG SETTING] • Refer to page 61 for general information on setting the parameters. • Refer to pages 3-5 of the separate "Data List" for information on the default parame- ter settings. ■ Auditioning channel [ChannelListen] You can select a single channel to listen to its contents. Playback starts from the first note. Press the D [-]/[+] buttons to select a channel for playback. Press and hold down the B [+(YES)] button to play the channel. TIP Channels that do not contain any data are not displayed. However, for some songs, all channels (including channels that contain no data) may be displayed. ■ Deleting data from a channel [ChannelClear] You can delete data from the 16 channels one by one or all together. Press the D [-]/[+] buttons to select a channel to delete, and press the B [+(YES)] button to delete the data. TIP Channels that do not contain data are not displayed. However, for some songs, all channels (including channels that contain no data) may be displayed. NOTE Save the edited song data to memory using the "SaveToMemory" (page 54) parameter. Press the B [-(NO)]/[+(YES)] buttons to select "Repeat On" or "Repeat Off." Press the C [-]/[+] buttons to specify the start point of the repeated range, and press the D [-]/[+] buttons to specify the end point of the repeated range. TIP Press the C [-]/[+] and D [-]/[+] buttons to specify the range to be repeated during song playback. TIP When you select another song, the specified range is automatically cancelled and the Repeat function is turned off. NOTE If you set the [FromToRepeat] parameter for a song recorded at free tempo, the timing of the metronome sound and the song may occasionally not match. NOTE Some preset songs contain song data recorded at free tempo. ■ Specifying a phrase for playback by phrase number [PhraseMark] If you select a song that contains "PhraseMark" data you can specify phrase numbers to play back from the mark point, or to play back repeatedly. • If you start playing back a song with "Repeat On" selected, the metronome sound starts ticking, followed by the repeated playback of the specified phrase until you press the [TOP] button. • If you select "Repeat Off," normal playback starts from the specified phrase. ■ Specifying the range and playing back repeatedly [FromToRepeat] You can specify a range (in steps of beats) that you wish to play back repeatedly. • Playback repeats after it reaches the end point. You can select a single channel to listen to its contents.

Press the D [–]/[+] buttons to select a channel for play-
back. Press and hold down the B [+(YES)] button to play
the channel.
