2-4 Keys, Doors, and Windows For vehicles with this feature, press Q and then press and hold / within five seconds to start the engine from outside the vehicle using the RKE transmitter. See Remote Vehicle Start on page 2‑5. The buttons on the keys are disabled when there is a key is in the ignition, if equipped. Pressing K will disarm the theft-deterrent system. See Anti-theft Alarm System on page 2‑11. Memory seat positions may be recalled when unlocking the vehicle. See Memory Seats on page 3‑7 and "Memory Remote Recall" under Vehicle Personalization on page 5‑33. V (Remote Trunk Release): Press and hold to unlock the trunk. / (Remote Vehicle Start): Starting the Vehicle with a Low Transmitter Battery If the transmitter battery is weak, the DIC may display NO REMOTE DETECTED when you try to start the vehicle. The REPLACE BATTERY IN REMOTE KEY message may also be displayed at this time. To start the vehicle: 1. Open the armrest storage area and place the transmitter in the transmitter pocket with the buttons facing the front of the vehicle. 2. With the vehicle in P (Park) or N (Neutral), press the brake pedal and the ignition button. See Starting the Engine on page 9‑17. Replace the transmitter battery as soon as possible. 7 (Vehicle Locator/Panic Alarm): Press and release one time to locate the vehicle. The exterior lamps flash and the horn chirps. Press and hold 7 for at least two seconds to sound the panic alarm. The horn sounds and the turn signals flash until 7 is pressed again or the vehicle is started. Programming Transmitters to the Vehicle Only RKE transmitters programmed to the vehicle will work. If a transmitter is lost or stolen, a replacement can be purchased and programmed through your dealer. The vehicle can be reprogrammed so that lost or stolen transmitters no longer work. Any remaining transmitters will need to be reprogrammed. Each vehicle can have up to five transmitters matched to it.
