Vehicle Care 4. Position the jack lift head at the jack location nearest the flat tire. The location is indicated by a mark on the bottom edge of the vehicle. The jack must not be used in any other position. Raise the jack until it engages with the jacking point. 10-83 Warning (Continued) appropriate safety equipment and training. If the vehicle slips off the jack, you could be badly injured or killed. Never get under a vehicle when it is supported only by a jack. { Warning Raising the vehicle with the jack improperly positioned can damage the vehicle and even make the vehicle fall.
