KEYS AND DOORS Locking with rear door child−protector THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM G11004 G11005 " 1 Unlock 2 Lock Whenever small children are in the vehicle, lock the rear door so that it does not open by the inside door handle. To do this, turn the knob to the lock position as shown and then close the door. To deter theft of the vehicle, this system is designed to sound an alarm if any of the doors, trunk or hood is forcibly unlocked or opened, or the battery terminal is disconnected and then reconnected while the vehicle is locked. The alarm blows the horn intermittently, flashes the headlights, tail lights, turn signal lights and other exterior lights. When the interior light switch is in the "DOOR" position, the interior lights also turn on. After the alarm is activated, when you unlock any door or the trunk using a entry function, wireless remote control or mechanical key, the tail lights turn on for about 2 seconds to inform you that the system was activated. 41
