PUSH-BUTTON IGNITION SWITCH POSITIONSGUID-974D7B79-BED6-4F09-AB6E-A579BEDC09E3 LOCK (Normal parking position) GUID-5A2EA06F-E703-4A2F-9560-66F1270752A7 The ignition switch can only be locked in this position. The ignition switch will be unlocked when it is pushed to the ACC position while carrying the Intelligent Key. CAUTION Do not leave the vehicle with the pushbutton ignition switch in ACC or ON position when the engine is not running for an extended period. This can discharge the battery. ACC (Accessories) GUID-F5678EC4-E8AB-4C49-8E37-0CBBB1B55191 This position activates electrical accessories such as the radio, when the engine is not running. EMERGENCY ENGINE SHUT OFF GUID-CBB805D6-14E9-451C-B7A9-7F58A6DE7098 To shut off the engine in an emergency situation while driving, perform the following procedure: . Rapidly push the push-button ignition switch 3 consecutive times in less than 1.5 seconds, or Push and hold the push-button ignition switch for more than 2 seconds. INTELLIGENT KEY BATTERY DISCHARGE GUID-B0D1956A-5575-426F-A28A-6ED797C76123 If the battery of the Intelligent Key is discharged, or environmental conditions interfere with the Intelligent Key operation, start the engine according to the following procedure: 1. Move the selector lever to the P (Park) position (for Continuously Variable Transmission models) or the shift lever to the N (Neutral) position (for manual transmission models). 2. Firmly apply the foot brake. 3. Touch the ignition switch with the Intelligent Key as illustrated. (A chime will sound.) OFF GUID-A83721F2-C4C7-4D9A-826D-F29009E67A40 The engine can be turned off in this position. The ignition switch will be unlocked when it is
pushed to the ACC position while carrying the
Intelligent Key.
ACC (Accessories)

when the engine is

ON (Normal operating position)

This position turns on the ignition system and

The engine can be turned off in this position.
Continuously Variable Transmission models: The
ignition lock is designed so that the ignition
switch cannot be switched to the LOCK position
until the selector lever is moved to the P (Park)
position.
CAUTION
Do not leave the vehicle with the push-
button ignition switch in ACC or ON
position when the engine is not running
for an extended period. This can dis-
charge the battery.
EMERGENCY ENGINE SHUT OFF

To shut off the engine in an emergency situation
while driving, perform the following procedure:

according to the following procedure:
1.
Move the selector lever to the P (Park)

models).
2.

Touch the ignition switch with the Intelligent
Key as illustrated. (A chime will sound.)
