Cruise GUID-9865425F-C266-446A-895C-23335FF057AB indicator light Cruise main switch indicator: GUID-3448E018-0BC4-4D17-AD0E-3BB850F23C53 This light illuminates when the cruise control main switch is pushed. The light turns off when the main switch is pushed again. When the cruise indicator light illuminates, the cruise control system is operational. Cruise malfunction: GUID-3448E018-0BC4-4D17-AD0E-3BB850F23C53 If the cruise indicator light blinks while the engine is running, it may indicate the cruise control system is not functioning properly. Have the system checked by a NISSAN dealer. See "Cruise control" (P.5-29). Exterior light indicator GUID-B9DA9F59-94DD-479E-A4ED-F9B3237B5784 This indicator illuminates when the headlight switch is turned to the AUTO (if so equipped), or position and the front parking lights, instrument panel lights, rear combination lights, license plate lights or headlights are on. The indicator turns off when these lights are turned off. Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) GUID-105F7DF5-6121-4EF4-AFAC-8D8C431A8A2E If the malfunction indicator light illuminates steady or blinks while the engine is running, it may indicate a potential emission control and/or Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) malfunction. The malfunction indicator light may also illuminate steady if the fuel-filler cap is loose or missing, or if the vehicle runs out of fuel. Check to make sure the fuel-filler cap is installed and closed tightly, and that the vehicle has at least 3 US gallons (11.4 liters) of fuel in the fuel tank. After a few driving trips, the light should turn off if no other potential emission control system malfunction exists. If this indicator light remains on for 20 seconds and then blinks for 10 seconds when the engine is not running, it indicates that the vehicle is not ready for an emission control system inspection/ maintenance test. (See "Readiness for Inspection/Maintenance (I/M) test" (P.9-18).) Operation: GUID-3448E018-0BC4-4D17-AD0E-3BB850F23C53 The malfunction indicator light will illuminate in one of two ways: . Malfunction indicator light illuminated steady - An emission control system and/or CVT malfunction has been detected. Check the fuel-filler cap if the LOOSE FUEL CAP Front passenger air bag status light GUID-D784181C-CA8B-4A88-9F16-58F3364EFA8A The front passenger air bag status light (located on the center of the instrument panel) will be lit and the passenger front air bag will be OFF depending on how the front passenger seat is being used. For front passenger air bag status light operation, see "NISSAN Advanced Air Bag System (front seats)" (P.1-41) of this manual. Engine start operation indicator light (if so equipped) GUID-1D3C34B9-B054-4186-8E35-F8A348777616 This light appears when the selector lever is in the P (Park) position (Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) models) or N (Neutral) position (Manual Transmission (MT) models). This light means that the engine will start by pushing the ignition switch with the brake pedal depressed. You can start the engine directly in any position. High beam indicator light GUID-849B231E-AF14-45BE-A788-A0C55B5A4C93 This light illuminates when the headlight high beam is on and goes out when the low beam is selected. 2-18 Instruments and controls
