Next charge the handsets and one battery pack for operating the base station. Once the batteries are charged remove the base station and the base station-battery connecting cable. Next connect the base station with the charged battery. The base and the handsets are already preconfigured. If you have not done so already, register the two handsets with the base station as indicated in the BeeTel 550i operating instructions (available from our web site). Depending on the area of application, use the Velcro fastener to secure the base station and the battery to the tripod, where available. Note: Please place the battery as far as possible away from the base station, to prevent influences on the base station and therefore on the measurements. Setting up an internal connection between the handsets r Switching the handsets on/off occurs with a long click of the R-key . Establish a connection with both handsets. You can connect commercially available equipment such as a CD player or radio, etc., to one of the handsets using the "test mobile - music source" link cable supplied. A music source considerably facilitates the testing as any interruption in the music is clearly perceptible.Connect the headset to the second handset so you have both hands free to mark out on the floor plan the locations you determine and you are able to read the display during the test phase. Tip If two people are involved in the measurement, it is advisable to maintain a continuous call connection. The use of the headset allows the connection quality to be monitored both visually and acoustically at the same time, and also allows the personnel involved in the measurement to communicate with one another. If a person is located at the base station, the optimum location for the base station in terms of connection technology cannot be determined. The handsets are in test mode. Depending on which handset you want to set up the internal call connection from, key in the inter- F nal call number (1 or 2) of the other handset and press the "up" cursor key . 50
