Specifying Packages Choosing Shared Components A red "O" means that the component on the left is optional for the application on the top. The deployment toolkit automatically selects optional components, but you can deselect them, unless a component is required by some other application that you have also selected. Names of optional components you want to include in a package should be listed on the package specification sheet. An "R" means that the component on the left is required for the application at the top. The deployment toolkit automatically selects these components when any application that requires them is selected, and you cannot deselect them. Therefore it is not necessary for you to record the names of required component on the package specification worksheet. A gray shaded cell means that the component on the left is not available as an optional choice for the application on the top. A "--" designates an optional component that is not selected when the toolkit displays the list, but can be selected. The only component for which this is true is Acrobat.com. That is, if you turn Bridge on, Extension Manager also comes on. You can keep Bridge on and turn Extension Manager off/on, but you can't do the opposite. In other words, you cannot choose Extension Manager unless you also choose Bridge. Document Version 1.0 Sep 2009 31
