Flash Memory (optional) Rotary encoder /ENTER SOURCE VIEW 5 4 Preset buttons (1 through 6) Playback If you connect a Flash Memory containing MP3/WMA/AAC, the following table shows which type of files can be played on which models. MP3 WMA AAC CDE-HD148BT CDE-147BT 1 Press VSOURCE to select the USB AUDIO mode. 2 Press or to select the desired track (file). Pressing and holding or will fast backward/fast forward track continuously. 3 To pause playback, press . Pressing again will resume playback. Notes • Any file protected by DRM (Digital Rights Management) copy protection, cannot be played back on this unit. • The playback time may not be correctly displayed when a VBR (Variable Bit Rate) recorded file is played back. • If there is tag information, artist name/album name/song name is displayed. • If an MP3/WMA/AAC file contains ID3 tag/WMA tag information, the ID3 tag/WMA tag information is displayed (e.g., song name, artist name, and album name). All other tag data is ignored. • "NO SUPPORT" is displayed when text information is not compatible with this unit. • Before disconnecting Flash Memory, be sure to change to another source or set to pause. • Press k VIEW to switch the display. For details, refer to "Displaying the Text" on page 23. Searching for a Desired Song Flash Memory can contain hundreds of songs. By organizing songs by folder, you can quickly find a desired folder/file. This operation is similar to search a folder/file from PC. 1 Press ENTER to activate the search mode. 2 Turn the Rotary encoder to select a desired folder/file. 3 Press ENTER to play the selected file or enter the selected folder. Press and hold ENTER for at least 2 seconds to play back all songs in the selected folder. 4 If a folder is opened in Step 3, Repeat Steps 2 to 3 until the desired folder/file is found. Notes • If no operation is performed for 60 seconds, the search mode is canceled. • In the search mode, pressing t will return to the previous mode. • When search is made during M.I.X. play, the M.I.X. play mode will be canceled. • If any one of the preset buttons (1 through 6) is pressed in the search mode, a search can be made quickly by skipping to the specified location. For details, refer to "Direct Search Function" on page 39. • In the search mode, a search can be made quickly by USB Skip function to find the desired folder/file. For details, refer to "Setting the USB Skip function" on page 28. • The total folders/files should be less than 1,000 (512 files for root folder) in each search hierarchy. Repeat Play 1 Press z 4. The song is played back repeatedly. REPEAT ONE*1 REPEAT FOLDER*2 REPEAT OFF REPEAT ONE *1 Only a file is repeatedly played back. *2 Only files in a folder are repeatedly played back. 2 To cancel repeat play, select (REPEAT OFF) with the above procedure. Notes • During repeat play, setting M.I.X. to ON will cancel the repeat play. • a indicator lights up during repeat play mode. 36-EN
