13 Vectorization Save As Saves the library in a new *.SRT file. Select Connection Lines Allows to select connecting lines in the symbol template window of the dialog (useful only for vector template of Search item). Add Search Item Attaches Search item to the specified Replace item. The Replace item must be selected beforehand in the topological tree of the dialog. Add Replace Item Adds Replace item to the SRTL. Delete Deletes selected item from library. Þ To exclude an item from recognition process, just remove checkmark on the left of the item's name without deleting it from the library. The item is deactivated. Running vectorization Vectorization can work on a raster selection set, or on a group of images. If you have created a raster selection set and have started vectorization, then it will be performed on this set alone. * For more detailed information on raster selection see the chapter 9. If no raster selection has been made and several images are inserted in the current drawing and they are available (visible, located on unlocked layers), then you need to select a group of raster images to perform vectorization on. * For more detailed information on the image selection procedure see "Selecting Several Images" on page 20. Vectorization also works on images with a clipping boundary. Using this feature, you can limit the vectorization area on any image by setting its clipping boundary. * For information on clipping boundary application see "Using AutoCAD Clipping Boundary when Selecting a Part of an Image" on page 30. Before running vectorization, customize the recognition parameters using the description, provided in this Guide on page 195. To perform vectorization 1. Select the image or part of the image you want to process and run vectorization using one of the following methods: 2. Press the Vectorize button on the Raster to Vector toolbar. In the rConvert menu select Raster to Vector. - or 3. Run vectorization without selecting an image. 219

Vectorization

Save As
Saves the library in a new *.SRT file.
Select Connection Lines
Allows to select connecting lines in the symbol template window of the
dialog (useful only for vector template of Search item).
Add Search Item
Attaches Search item to the specified Replace item. The Replace item
must be selected beforehand in the topological tree of the dialog.
Add Replace Item
Adds Replace item to the SRTL.
Delete
Deletes selected item from library.
°
To exclude an item from recognition process, just remove
checkmark on the left of the item’s name without deleting it from the
library. The item is deactivated.
Running vectorization
Vectorization can work on a raster selection set, or on a group of images. If you
have created a raster selection set and have started vectorization, then it will be
performed on this set alone.
*
For more detailed information on raster selection see the chapter 9.
If no raster selection has been made and several images are inserted in the current
drawing and they are available (visible, located on unlocked layers), then you need
to select a group of raster images to perform vectorization on.
*
For more detailed information on the image selection procedure see
“Selecting Several Images” on page 20.
Vectorization also works on images with a clipping boundary. Using this feature,
you can limit the vectorization area on any image by setting its clipping boundary.
*
For information on clipping boundary application see
“Using AutoCAD
Clipping Boundary when Selecting a Part of an Image” on page 30.
Before running vectorization, customize the recognition parameters using the
description, provided in this Guide on page 195.
To perform vectorization
1.
Select the image or part of the image you want to process and run vectorization
using one of the following methods:
2. Press the
Vectorize
button on the
Raster to Vector
toolbar.
In the
rConvert
menu select
Raster to Vector.
- or -
3. Run vectorization without selecting an image.
