Reassembly

The recoil springs and guide can now be lifted out of the slide NOTICE: The recoil springs are not captured, a hand should be placed behind the recoil spring guide to prevent its loss. Tilt the barrel by grasping the cam lug and remove the barrel from the slide. WARNING: The recoil spring guide is held under pressure by the recoil spring. Be careful not to inadvertently cause this unit to "shoot off" the barrel slide assembly. NOTICE: No further disassembly is required for routine maintenance. REASSEMBLY Reassemble by inserting the barrel into the slide. Tip the barrel to install the muzzle end through the hole in the front of the slide, then lower the rear end into position in the slide. 28

NOTICE:
The recoil springs are not captured, a hand should be placed
behind the recoil spring guide to prevent its loss. Tilt the barrel by
grasping the cam lug and remove the barrel from the slide.
WARNING:
The recoil spring guide is held under pressure by the recoil
spring. Be careful not to inadvertently cause this unit to “shoot off” the
barrel slide assembly.
NOTICE:
No further disassembly is required for routine maintenance.
REASSEMBLY
Reassemble by inserting the barrel into the slide. Tip the barrel to install
the muzzle end through the hole in the front of the slide, then lower the
rear end into position in the slide.
