Default Setting (Options) (HDMI) (Composite + S-Video) (Component) Description Identifies the type of video connection made on the back panel of the media center. This is not an adjustable setting. Video Black Level (Appears on screen only if the TV connects to the media center using a Composite or S-Video cable.) Normal (Extended) Screen black level generally appropriate for most TVs. Darkens the intensity of the black on screen. TV Video Format NTSC - US (PAL - EUROPE) (MULTISTANDARD) Correct for NTSC (U.S. standard) monitors. Correct for PAL (European standard) monitors. Only for a TV that supports multiple formats (NTSC and PAL). Progressive Scan Off (Appears on screen only if the TV connects to the media center using a Component cable. It is not needed with HDMI.) (On) Note: If selecting On distorts your screen, press the remote up arrow to reselect Off. Screen image repaints in standard style. Screen image repaints in advanced style (if your TV provides this option). Note: With an HDMI connection, you will not see the On option. The HDMI cable automatically senses your TV capabilities and applies progressive scan as appropriate. 51
