Keep your hands away from moving parts while the machine is in operation. • Do not stretch or pull the fabric during sewing. Doing so may lead to injury. • Do not use bent or broken needles. Sewing using a utility stitch
1.
Turn on the sewing machine. The straight stitch (left) is se-
lected.

Install the correct presser foot. Place the fabric under the
presser foot, then pull out about 5 cm (2") of the upper thread
and pass it under the presser foot toward the rear of the ma-
chine.

CAUTION
