Margin Scale Base The margin scale base indicates three pitch scales (10, 12, and 15 characters/inch). The left margin, right margin, and tab stop positions, as well as the position of the carrier, can be located on this scale. The margin stop cursors are used to indicate the left margin and right margin positions, and are set by sliding them to the correct positions.
