Troubleshooting Error messages (continued) Error message Tray 2 Error Unusable Device Cause The optional lower tray is not installed correctly. An incompatible or defective device has been connected to the USB direct interface. Action Re-install the optional lower tray. Remove the USB flash memory drive from the USB Direct Interface. Wait a few seconds, then turn it on again. If this does not clear the error, call your dealer or a Brother Customer Service. 143
