CONTENTS GETTING READY SEWING BASICS UTILITY STITCHES Satin stitching A decorative stitch can be sewn by changing the stitch width of a satin stitch. If the sewing machine is set so that the stitch width can be adjusted using the sewing speed controller, the stitch width can quickly and easily be adjusted. In this case, the sewing speed is adjusted with the foot controller. Connect the foot controller. 1 • For details, refer to "Starting to sew" (page 49). Attach zigzag foot "J". 2 J Press 7 (OK key). X The initial stitch screen appears again. Select stitch 60 . 8 • For details, refer to "Selecting stitching" (page 68). While sewing, slide the sewing speed 9 controller to adjust the stitch width. Memo ● Although the stitching result differs depending on the type of fabric being sewn and the thickness of the thread being used, for best results, adjust the stitch length to between 0.3 and 0.5 mm (1/64 and 1/32 inch). Satin stitching
A decorative stitch can be sewn by changing the
stitch width of a satin stitch. If the sewing machine is
set so that the stitch width can be adjusted using the
sewing speed controller, the stitch width can quickly
and easily be adjusted. In this case, the sewing speed
is adjusted with the foot controller.
