APPENDIX Care and Maintenance Simple sewing machine maintenance operations are described below. Restrictions on oiling In order to prevent damaging this machine, it must not be oiled by the user. This machine was manufactured with the necessary amount of oil applied to ensure correct operation, making periodic oiling unnecessary. If problems occur, such as difficulty turning the handwheel or an unusual noise, immediately stop using the machine, and contact you authorized dealer or the nearest authorized service center. Remove the flat bed attachment. c Remove the needle plate cover. d The needle plate cover is removed differently depending on the model. ■ If there is a screw in the needle plate cover Use the disc-shaped screwdriver to remove the a screw in the needle plate cover. If problems occur, such as difficulty turning the

Cleaning the machine surface
