Remove the upper thread. k Appliquéing Note z Be sure to raise the presser foot lever before removing the upper thread. If you remove the upper thread with the embroidery foot lowered, it may cause malfunction. Prepare the base fabric and the appliqué fabric (appliqué piece). Press (Settings key), and set the thread color display to NAME OF COLOR, so "APPLIQUE MATERIAL", "APPLIQUE POSITION" and "APPLIQUE" are displayed on the screen. Set up embroidery thread for the next color, Select an appliqué pattern. l and repeat steps b through h. a 2 X When the last color is embroidered, "Finished sewing." will appear on the display. Press , and the display will return to the initial screen. Cut the excess thread. m Memo z For the programmed thread cutting setting, refer to "Setting for embroidering" (page 52). Lower the presser foot lever, and press c (Start/stop button).
