The manual is designed to make using this code as easy a possible. Keep the following in mind when copying code from this manual into CRBasic Editor: If an example crosses pages, select and copy only the contents of one page at a time. Doing so will help avoid unwanted characters that may originate from page headings, page numbers, and hidden characters. 1.4 Release Notes Notes to preliminary version 12-4-14: Sections 1 - 6 (Introduction through Specifications) will change little from here on out. Information in the Specification section has been taken directly from data reviewed by the datalogger engineers. The rest of the manual (Installation through Appendices) is still in for significant additions, changes, and deletions. In excess of 500 raw text and graphic assets still need to be processed and incorporated. However, a limited review of those sections will be helpful so long as the reviewer does not get hung up on microscale errors, such as specification errors. Macro-scale errors, on the other hand, will be very useful to note. There is a lot of that sort of thing, things that are not covered in the specifications, that need revision and review. Their position in the manual may change, but the content may remain pretty much as is unless caught by a knowledgeable reviewer. Their inclusion is on account of the attributes the CR6 shares with its predecessors, since they share the same operating system. The assumption is that the CR6 will have those same attributes unless identified as otherwise. An added complication is that there are several capabilities not yet exposed to the CR6 user that will become operable in subsequent early OS revisions. Some of these capabilities are discussed in this version. Information caught by the author as questionable has been underlined, but not every questionable thing has been caught. 30
