Appendix B. Status, Settings, and Data Table Information (Registers) The Status table, the DataTableInfo table, and settings (collectively, "registers") contain settings and information essential to setup and programming of advanced systems, and useful in troubleshooting and debugging. Registers are numerous and can have multiple handles depending on the interface used to access them. Naming is usually similar among handles. Each has only one key name that can be accessed with CRBasic code. No one interface appears to access them all. A future edition of this manual will present tables to assist in locating a particular register. Interfaces used to access registers include the following: • Settings Editor in Device Configuration Utility (p. 116) software • Status table in CR6 memory - view as a data table • DataTableInfo table in CR6 memory - view as a data table • Station Status1 menu option - find in datalogger support software (p. 604). • Edit Settings menu option - find in PakBusGraph software. • Ports and Status and Configure, Settings menu options - external keyboard display • status.keyword syntax - CRBasic program Note Communication and processor bandwidth are consumed when generating the Status table. If the CR6 is very tight on processing time, as may occur in very long or complex operations, retrieving the Status table repeatedly may cause skipped scans. 1 Information presented in the Station Status menu option is not automatically updated. Click the Refresh button for the recent update. Keyword (in bold) or Field Name PakBus/TCP Service Port PakBus/TCP Client Connections Description Settings Editor name: PakBus/TCP Service Port Specifies the TCP service port for PakBus communications. Unless firewall issues exist, this setting probably does not need to be changed from its default value. This setting will be effective only if the PPP service is enabled using a PPP-compatible network link (p. 602). Settings Editor name: PakBus/TCP Client Connections. If changed, the CRBasic program will recompile. Specifies outgoing PakBus/TCP connections that the datalogger should maintain. Up to four addresses can be specified.
