Problems and Solutions I ERROR light is orange The orange ERROR light comes on, the printer beeps, and the printer does not operate. The printer will beep when an error occurs and the orange ERROR light will come on or flash to let you know when and what type of error has occurred. You may need to turn the printer off and turn it on again in order to identify the problem. Make sure that the paper is set correctly The orange light will flash and the printer will beep to alert you that the paper has not fed into the printer. If there is no paper in the sheet feeder, then load some paper. If the paper is not straight in the sheet feeder, then straighten it and try again. Check to see if the following message is displayed on the screen Paper Jam! If paper is jammed inside the printer, the printer will beep twice and the orange ERROR light will flash. Remove the jammed paper and set a new sheet of paper to resume printing. Loading Paper in the Printer Check to see if the BJ cartridge has been removed If the BJ cartridge has been removed during printing, or if the BJ cartridge failed electrically, the printer will beep three times and the orange ERROR light will flash. Re-install the BJ cartridge in the cartridge holder if it has been removed, or install a new BJ cartridge to resume printing. Replacing a BJ Cartridge Troubleshooting 263
