Paper and Other Print Media I Envelopes • Use only US Commercial #10 or European DL envelopes with this printer. • Before loading envelopes in the printer, press down on the center of the stack to expel all the air inside the envelopes, crease the edges if they are not perfectly square, and bend the envelopes opposite to the direction of the curl if they are curled. Press down the flaps. Press down on the stack on the edges, the center, and corners to ensure that all the air is expelled from the envelopes. • If the envelopes do not feed smoothly, use a pen or other flat object to crease the leading edges of the envelopes. • To prevent feed problems, make sure none of the flaps are overlapping, and do not use self-sealing envelopes. • Do not attempt to feed envelopes that have been heavily embossed or treated with any type of special coating or coloring.
