Setting the Communication Mode To communicate with the camera using the software on the SOLUTION DISK, set the camera's communication mode to [Normal]. If you set the communication mode to [PTP], the SOLUTION DISK software cannot communicate with the camera. When you are using the software, always set the communication mode to [Normal]. 1 Check that the camera is not connected to the computer and then set the power switch to . 2 Set [Communication] in menu option < > to [Normal]. 3 Press the button to switch the LCD monitor display off and then set the power switch to . When setting the communication mode, always ensure that the camera is not connected to the computer beforehand. Setting the communication mode while the camera is connected to the computer will cause camera and software malfunctions. About the PTP Setting The PTP function is only available to Windows XP users. This function provides a simple means of downloading JPEG images to your computer.
