Using the Telephone Connecting the Answering Machine Connect the answering machine to the telephone jack marked : If you have already connected an extension telephone to the MultiPASS 1000, you must unplug it to connect the answering machine. To connect both an answering machine and an extension telephone to the MultiPASS 1000, you must connect the telephone to the answering machine.
