Appendix Built-In Terminal Audio I/O Terminal You can send and receive audio via a viewer, by connecting a microphone and a speaker with amplifier to the camera. ø3.5 monaural mini-jack connector is used. Audio Input Terminal (LINE IN and MIC IN) An audio input terminal is to connect a microphone to VB-C60. Two types of microphones, LINE IN and MIC IN, are available for VB-C60 audio input. Since the available audio input terminal is only one, you need to switch the input mode in the setting page depending on the microphone to be used (→ dOperation Guide P.1-27). The factory default setting is Line IN. LINE IN allows connecting with a microphone with amplifier. MIC IN allows connecting with a dynamic microphone or a condenser microphone. Input terminal: ø 3.5 mm monaural mini-jack - Dynamic microphone / IN Input impedance: 1.75kΩ ±20% * Available microphone Output impedance: 400Ω ~ 600Ω - Condenser microphone / IN Input impedance (mic bias): 2.2kΩ ±20% Power: Plug-In power (voltage: 1.8V) * Available microphone Plug-in power type condenser microphone - LINE IN Input level: Max. 1 V p-p * A microphone with amplifier is required. Audio Output Terminal (LINE OUT) An audio output terminal is to connect a speaker with amplifier to VB-C60. You can send audio from VK-Lite Viewer to the speaker. Only the administrator can use this function. - Output level: Max. 1V p-p * A speaker with amplifier is required. ● Switch between LINE IN and MIC IN in the setting page according to the type of Note microphone (→dOperation Guide P.1-27). Be sure to set properly, otherwise the camera or the microphone may be broken. ● The volume and tone may vary depending on the properties of the microphone. ● Use VK-Lite Viewer to send audio to the speaker. You cannot send audio from VB-C60 Viewer (→ P.1-8). 3-7
