Chapter 1 Introduction to the CR-180 Features of the CR-180 The Canon Check Reader CR-180 is a scanner with magnetic heads that can read checks and other documents that are printed with MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) compatible fonts and is capable of OCR (Optical Character Recognition). The CR-180 is compact and can handle large volumes of checks at a speed of 180 ppm.
