Adjust CMYK curves for a media family [133] Adjustments in advanced mode Before you begin Perform a printer calibration. Calibrate the printer on page 173 (See ) Procedure 1. Calibrate the printer. Calibrate the printer on page 173 (See ) IMPORTANT You must always perform a printer calibration before you continue with this procedure. 2. Touch [System] -> [Color adjustment] -> [Edit CMYK curves manually]. 3. Enter your login information. 4. Select the media family. 5. Select the halftone. 6. Touch [Edit]. The [Basic mode] window opens. 7. Set the density values for the four colors or go to the [Advanced mode]. 8. Open the [Advanced mode]. The window opens with the color Cyan. 1. Define the color clipping range. 2. Select a tonal area you want to adjust. This places a control point on the curve. 3. Use the sliders or + and - buttons on the input and output axes to move the control points of each tonal area. 4. When ready, select a new color. 9.
