Set up hotfolders Set up hotfolders The PRISMAsync automated workflows offer a job workflow with multiple print queues. Set up automated workflows on page 67 (See ) The hotfolder feature fits environments that print many files with the same print settings. A hotfolder is a shared folder on PRISMAsync. You can simply drag & drop print files on a shortcut on the desktop. (See Drag & drop print files on hotfolders on page 82) PRISMAprepare also has the possibility to submit print jobs to a hotfolder. All hotfolders are linked to one of the available automated workflows. The automated workflow determines the job properties. You can configure automated workflows and hotfolders in the Settings Editor. Settings Editor settings and information on page 320 (See ) Below you will find a short description of the procedure. Procedure 1. Open the Settings Editor. 2. Enable and configure the hotfolder feature. 3. Define the username and password. The username and password combination are applicable to all hotfolders. 4. Create a hotfolder. 5. Link the hotfolder to the default or a custom automated workflow. 6. Specify if the job ticket of the files must overrule the hotfolder properties. 7. Go to your desktop and right-click the mouse to select New and then Shortcut. 8. Enter the IP-address or hostname followed by the hotfolder name. For example: http://134.188.24.129/hotfolder2 or http://printsystem_3/hotfolder2 for WebDAV 9.
