Configuration Commands Appendix A ACS Command Reference Warning Ensure that you secure your NFS server in such a way that the directory can be accessed only by the IP address of the ACS server. Examples acs/admin(config)# backup-staging-url nfs://loc-filer02a:/vol/local1/private1/jdoe acs/admin(config)# cdp holdtime To specify the amount of time for which the receiving device should hold a CDP packet from the ACS server before discarding it, use the cdp holdtime command in the Configuration mode. To revert to the default setting, use the no form of this command. cdp holdtime seconds Syntax Description seconds Specifies the hold time, in seconds. Value from 10 to 255 seconds. Defaults 180 seconds Command Modes Configuration Usage Guidelines CDP packets transmit with a time to live, or hold time, value. The receiving device will discard the CDP information in the CDP packet after the hold time has elapsed. The cdp holdtime command takes only one argument; otherwise, an error occurs. Examples acs/admin(config)# cdp holdtime 60 acs/admin(config)# Related Commands Command cdp timer cdp run Description Specifies how often the ACS server sends CDP updates. Enables the CDP. cdp run To enable the CDP, use the cdp run command in Configuration mode.
