Configuration Commands Appendix A ACS Command Reference Command Modes Configuration Usage Guidelines You can use this command to configure subinterfaces to support various requirements. Examples acs/admin(config)# interface GigabitEthernet 0 acs/admin(config-GigabitEthernet)# Related Commands Command show interface ip address (interface configuration mode) shutdown (interface configuration mode) Description Displays information about the system interfaces. Sets the IP address and netmask for the interface. Shuts down the interface (see shutdown, page A-137). ip address To set the IP address and netmask for the Ethernet interface, use the ip address command in interface Configuration mode. To remove an IP address or disable IP processing, use the no form of this command. ip address ip-address netmask Note You can configure the same IP address on multiple interfaces. You might want to do this to limit the configuration steps required to switch from using one interface to another. Syntax Description ip-address netmask IPv4 version IP address.
