EXEC Commands Appendix A ACS Command Reference Usage Guidelines Use the forceout command in EXEC mode to force a user from an active session. Examples halt acs/admin# forceout user1 To shut down and power off the system, use the halt command in EXEC mode. halt Syntax Description No arguments or keywords. Defaults No default behavior or values. Command Modes EXEC Usage Guidelines Before you issue the halt command, ensure that ACS is not performing any backup, restore, installation, upgrade, or remove operation. If you issue the halt command while ACS is performing any of these operations, you will get one of the following warning messages: WARNING: A backup or restore is currently in progress! Continue with halt? WARNING: An install/upgrade/remove is currently in progress! Continue with halt? If you get any of these warnings, enter YES to halt the operation, or enter NO to cancel the halt. If no processes are running when you use the halt command or you enter YES in response to the warning message displayed, ACS asks you to respond to the following option: Do you want to save the current configuration ? Enter YES to save the existing ACS configuration. ACS displays the following message: Saved the running configuration to startup successfully Examples acs/admin# halt acs/admin# Related Commands Command reload Description Reboots the system.
