Chapter 1 Cisco SRST SNMP MIB Support Prerequisites • An SNMP manager must be available on the network. For more information on configuring an SNMP server for use with a MIB, refer to the "Configuring SNMP Support" chapter of the Cisco IOS Configuration Fundamentals and Network Management Configuration Guide, Release 12.3. at the following URL: http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios122/122cgcr/ffun_c/fcfprt3/fcf014.htm • An SNMP Agent must be configured for the router on which the CISCO-SRST-MIB feature is to be used. Refer to the "Enabling the SNMP Agent" section in this document for more information. • Ensure the traps are defined in the NMS software. • Ensure the alarm events are not put into "log only" mode and come up as an Alarm.
