During startup, the console switch does the following: • Identifies the mouse and keyboard and puts them into default states. • Switches to port 1 by default, and displays the number "1" in the status flag displayed on the monitor. If the status flag default setting has been changed to Names mode, the status flag displays the port name instead of the port number. Switch Box Startup Behavior
It is important to turn on the console switch before turning on the computers because
