OPERATINGCONTROLS RELEASE BAR--Used to release the hopper when raising or lowering. See figure 10. PRIMER--Pumps additional fuel from the carburetor to the cylinder for use when starting a cold engine. See figure 14. STARTER HANDLE--Used to manually start the engine. See figure 6. THROTTLE CONTROL--Permits selection of fast or slow engine speed, and is used to stop the engine. See figure 6. BEFORE USING YOUR CHIPPER-SHREDDER, AGAIN REFER TO THE "SAFETY RULES" AS SHOWN ON PAGE 2 OF THIS MANUAL. ALWAYS BE CAREFUL. The operation of any chipper-shredder can result in foreign objects being thrown into the eyes, which can result in severe eye damage. Always wear the safety glasses provided with the chipper-shredder or eye shields before chipping or shredding, or while performing any adjustments or repairs. We recommend Wide Vision Safety Mask for over spectacles or standard glasses available at Sears Retail or Catalog Stores.
