Section 4 - Configuration User The User section is used to create, manage, and delete user accounts with user-defined access to certain router services. In the Management menu on the bar on the top of the page, click User. If you wish to remove a user account, click on its trash can icon in the Delete column. If you wish to edit a user account, click on its pencil icon in the Edit column. If you wish to create a new user, click the Create User button. Click Save when you are done. If you edit or create a rule, the following options will appear: User Name: Enter a username for the new user account. Password: Enter a password for the new user account. SAMBA Status: Enable or disable the Windows file sharing function for this user, allowing connected clients access to media files over the network. Permission: If SAMBA is enabled, choose to assign either Read Only or Read/ Write permission. Folder: Click Browse to select the folder you want to share. D-Link DIR-2680 User Manual 80

Section 4 - Configuration
User
The User section is used to create, manage, and delete user accounts with
user-defined access to certain router services.
In the
Management
menu on the bar on the top of the page, click
User.
If you wish to remove a user account, click on its trash can icon in the Delete
column. If you wish to edit a user account, click on its pencil icon in the Edit
column. If you wish to create a new user, click the
Create User
button. Click
Save
when you are done. If you edit or create a rule, the following options will
appear:
User Name:
Enter a username for the new user account.
Password:
Enter a password for the new user account.
SAMBA
Status:
Enable or disable the Windows file sharing function for this user,
allowing connected clients access to media files over the network.
Permission:
If
SAMBA
is enabled, choose to assign either
Read Only
or
Read/
Write
permission.
Folder:
Click
Browse
to select the folder you want to share.
