Section 4 - Configuration Creating iSCSI Target Click the Create button to make a new iSCSI Target. The Create iSCSI Target window will appear. Enter a name in the Alias field. The Name is automatically populated. The name will be the suffix of this target's iSCSI Qualified Name (IQN). IQN is the acronym used to identify this iSCSI Target. On the NAS , it will be constructed to "iqn.2010-01.com.dlink:" + the device's hostname + ":" + enter the "custom name" here. Select a volume from the Volume drop-down menu. Enter your disk space in the Size field. Click the radio button to Enable or Disable the CHAP Settings. When enabled, more configuration fields will open. Enter a User Name, Password, and Confirm Password. Click Save to continue. Note: The iSCSI Target name can contain numbers, letters of the alphabet and some symbol like dash "-" , colon ":'"and ".". The CHAP name must be from 1 to 8 characters. The CHAP password must be from 12 to 16 characters. Both the name and password can consist of English letters, numbers, and underscore.
