D-Link Unified Access Point Administrator’s Guide
The same types of queues are defined for different kinds of data transmitted from AP-to-
station and station-to-AP but they are referenced by differently depending on whether you are
configuring AP or station parameters.
Set Arbitration Interframe
Spaces (AIFS) on a client
station
set wme-queue wlan0 with queue <
Queue_Name>
to aifs
<1-255>
Example:
set wme-queue wlan0 with queue vo to aifs 14
Setting Minimum and
Maximum Contention
Windows (cwmin,
cwmax) on the AP
On the AP:
set tx-queue wlan0 with queue
<
Queue_Name>
to cwmin
<
cwmin_Value>
cwmax <
cwmax_Value>
Example:
set tx-queue wlan0 with queue data1 cwmin 15 cwmax 31
Setting Minimum and
Maximum Contention
Windows (cwmin,
cwmax) on a client station
set wme-queue wlan0 with queue
<
Queue_Name>
to cwmin
<
cwmin_Value>
cwmax <
cwmax_Value>
Example:
set wme-queue wlan0 with queue vi cwmin 7 cwmax 15
Valid values for the “
cwmin
” are 1, 3, 7, 15, 31, 63, 127, 255, 511, or 1024. The value for “
cwmin
must be lower than the value for “
cwmax
”.
Valid values for the “
cwmax
” are 1, 3, 7, 15, 31, 63, 127, 255, 511, or 1024. The value for “
cwmax
must be higher than the value for “
cwmin
”.
Set the Maximum Burst
Length (burst) on the AP
set tx-queue wlan0 with queue
<
Queue_Name>
to burst
<0.0-999.9>
Example:
set tx-queue wlan0 with queue data2 to burst 0.5
Set Transmission
Opportunity Limit (txop-
limit) for WMM client
stations
set wme-queue wlan0 with queue
<
Queue_Name>
to txop-
limit <
txop-limit_Value>
Example:
set wme-queue wlan0 with queue vo to txop-limit 49
