Remove the six screws (M2.5x13) that secure the base cover to the computer base. 2. Loosen the captive screw that secures the base cover to the computer base to open a gap between the two parts. 3. Using a plastic scribe, gently pry the base cover from the gap around the captive screw to release the clips on the base cover from the computer base. 4. Lift the base cover off the computer base. 5. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board. 12

Procedure
1.
Remove the six screws (M2.5x13) that secure the base cover to the computer base.
2.
Loosen the captive screw that secures the base cover to the computer base to open a gap between the two parts.
3.
Using a plastic scribe, gently pry the base cover from the gap around the captive screw to release the clips on the base cover from
the computer base.
4.
Lift the base cover off the computer base.
5.
Disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
