NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as the back panel) on the computer. NOTICE: When you disconnect a cable, pull on its connector or on its pull-tab, not on the cable itself. Some cables have connectors with locking tabs; if you are disconnecting this type of cable, press in on the locking tabs before you disconnect the cable. As you pull connectors apart, keep them evenly aligned to avoid bending any connector pins. Also, before you connect a cable, ensure that both connectors are correctly oriented and aligned. 1. Follow the instructions in Before You Begin. 2. Remove the hinge cover. See Follow the procedures in "Before You Begin" on page 9.. 3. Remove the keyboard. See Replacing the Keyboard. 4. Loosen the 16 M2.5x 5-mm screws on the base cover. 5. Disconnect the antenna cables from the Mini-Card(s). 1 antenna cables (2) 2 display cable 6. Make note of the cable routing and carefully dislodge the antenna cables and the display cable from their routing guides. Pull the cables away, so that they are clear of the palm rest.

Follow the instructions in
Before You Begin

2.
Remove the hinge cover. See
Follow the procedures in "Before You Begin" on page 9.

3.
Remove the keyboard. See
Replacing the Keyboard

4.
Loosen the 16 M2.5x 5-mm screws on the base cover.
5.
Disconnect the antenna cables from the Mini-Card(s).
6.
Make note of the cable routing and carefully dislodge the antenna cables and the display cable from their routing guides. Pull the cables away, so that
they are clear of the palm rest.
