Remove the battery from the computer. 3. Remove the hinge covers from the computer. 4. Loosen the captive screws that secure the small access door to the computer. 5. Remove the access door from the computer. 6. Remove the screws inside the access door bay. 7. Remove the SIM card if applicable. 8. Remove the screws that secure the access panel to the computer in the battery well. 9. Remove the screw on the inside of the right hinge assembly. 10. Remove the screws that secure the access panel to the computer. 11. Remove the access panel from the computer. Back to Contents Page

Removing the Access Panel
1.
Follow the procedures in
Before Working Inside Your Computer
.
2.
Remove the
battery
from the computer.
3.
Remove the
hinge covers
from the computer.
4.
Loosen the captive screws that secure the small access door to the computer.
5.
Remove the access door from the computer.
6.
Remove the screws inside the access door bay.
7.
Remove the SIM card if applicable.
8.
Remove the screws that secure the access panel to the computer in the battery well.
9.
Remove the screw on the inside of the right hinge assembly.
10.
Remove the screws that secure the access panel to the computer.
11.
Remove the access panel from the computer.
