User Guidelines The timeout should be more than sum of response time and twice the query interval. Example The following example configures the host timeout to 300 seconds. console(config-if-1/g1)#ip igmp snooping host-timeout 300 ip igmp snooping leave-time-out Use the ip igmp snooping leave-time-out command in Interface Configuration mode to configure the leave-time-out. If an IGMP report for a Multicast group is not received within the leave-time-out period after an IGMP leave was received from a specific port, the current port is deleted from the member list of that Multicast group. To configure the default leave-timeout, use the no form of this command. Syntax ip igmp snooping leave-time-out [time-out | immediate-leave] no ip igmp snooping leave-time-out • time-out - Specifies the leave-time-out in seconds. (Range: 1 - 3174) • immediate-leave - Specifies that the port should be removed immediately from the members list after receiving IGMP Leave. Default Configuration The default leave-time-out configuration is 10 seconds.
