This section provides details about cabling for the integrated PERC S150 controller. NOTE: For information about cabling SATA and NVMe PCIe SSDs for S150, see your system owner's manual at www.dell.com/poweredgemanuals. 1. Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the electrical outlet and peripherals. NOTE: It is recommended that you always use a static mat and static strap while working on components in the interior of the system. 2. Remove the system cover. 3. Locate the connectors SATA_A and SATA _B on the system board. 4. Connect the SATA_A and SATA _B connectors on the AHCI devices to the corresponding cable connectors on the backplane using the SATA cables. NOTE: The first AHCI device provides connectivity to the drives available on port 0-7 and the second AHCI device provides connectivity to the drives available on port 8.
